【摘要】:Thetypeofmaterialsusedinthemanufactureofinsulationproductsandthetypeofmembraneusedtofacetheseproductscansometimesaffectfungisustenanceinthepresenceofhighhumidity.Thistestmethodisusedtodeterminetherelativeabilityofaninsulationanditsfacingtosupportorresistfungalgrowthunderconditionsfavorablefortheirdevelopment.Thistestmethodusesacomparativematerialtodeterminetherelativeabilityofamaterialtosupportfungalgrowth.Insomespecializedproductareas,itisrequiredthatnogrowthtakeplace.Insuchcases,theuseofthecomparativematerialisomittedandthepass/failcriterionisbasedupongrowth.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheabilityofnewinsulationmaterialsandtheirfacingstosupportfungalgrowth.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.
